Independent Panel Launches Social Media Accounts

On the 30th of July 2024, the Independent Panel launched its official Facebook and X accounts.

This is part of the Independent Panel’s efforts to reach as many people as possible who have been affected by, or worked or volunteered in, a Mother and Baby Institution, Magdalene Laundry, or Workhouse in NI, or their associated pathways and practices.

The Independent Panel will use its Facebook and X accounts to share updates on the progress of its investigation, information about upcoming events and other engagement opportunities, and information on support services.

The Independent Panel believes that having an active presence on social media is another important step in demonstrating their commitment to raising awareness of their work and connecting with people who have experience and / or knowledge of these institutions and their practices.

The Independent Panel encourages anyone with an interest in their work, to follow them on their social media accounts to connect with them and stay up to date on their work. They also encourage people to share their social media accounts with anyone who they feel might be interested in their work.
